DRIVE 3X3 HISTORY
JOHN ROGERS
The story of Princeton 3x3 and Drive 3x3 starts with one man: John Rogers. Known as the “Godfather” of American 3x3 basketball, John was an early pioneer of the game, playing in tournaments and events all across America through the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s.
PRINCETON
A disciple of the late great Pete Carril, John introduced the Princeton offense and its concepts to the game of 3x3. John’s preferred style of basketball is also the reason certain Drive 3x3 teams play under the Princeton name and use the turtle logo (“Slow and Steady”). Simply put: Drive 3x3 and the sport of 3x3 itself would not be where it is today without the endless support of John Rogers.
